La Bastide is a place of peace, closeness to nature and encounters. A place to take a deep breath, arrive and recharge your batteries – for people and animals alike.
At the same time, La Bastide is a lively place:
A home for numerous animals that are allowed to livehere in a species-appropriate manner – until the end of their lives, a place for gardens, forests, houses and projects that need to be cared for, built and developed. All of this is associated with a great deal of passion – and cannot be fully financed from the income from vacation rentals alone. That is why we are happy about volunteerswho would like to become part of this place for a certain period of time
As a volunteer, you will be accommodated free of charge with us at La Bastide and receive:
Board and lodging
Accommodation in quiet, natural surroundings
Simple, honest meals
Time in nature, with animals and away from the noise of everyday life
Meaningful work that visibly makes a difference
Space for exchange, peace and quiet and personal experiences
La Bastide is not a hotel for helpers – but a togetherness at eye level.
The projects are varied and change depending on the season and requirements.
Here are a few examples to give you an idea:
Painting or refreshing facades
Basic cleaning of the houses
Minor maintenance and embellishment work
Gardening and weeding
Planting flowers
Planting herbs and spices
Helping to set up and maintain the vegetable garden
Support with daily animal care
Help with simple work around the barn and pastures
(no previous knowledge necessary – everything is explained)
Forest cleaning
Simple forestry work
Maintenance of paths and natural areas
This list is not exhaustive – projects often develop organically.

You do not not be a professional be a professional. Motivation, mindfulness and good teamwork are more important than experience.

We are currently accepting non-binding reservations. As soon as the minimum number of participants has been reached, we will inform all reserved persons personally. Only then will a binding booking be made.
