La Bastide opens its doors for an exclusive week of fencing in the heart of nature in the south of France – an intensive time for body, mind and enjoyment. Train under the guidance of Maître Gabriel Nielabaone of Switzerland’s most experienced fencing masters, and immerse yourself in an environment that combines calm, presence and precision. The course language is German. An earlier arrival can also be arranged on request.
For a small group of participants, the entire property is available exclusively for five days and nights.
Gabriel Nielaba was for 25 years head fencing coach of the Bern Fencing Club. Born in 1958 into a traditional fencing family, his fencing career began in 1970 when he started fencing in Warsaw at the age of 12. At the age of 18, he became Polish champion in epee fencing. Gabriel Nielaba not only has technical know-how and decades of experience, but also a deep passion for the art of fencing, combined with a keen sense of people, movement and presence.

La Bastide is in an idyllic location – and yet easily accessible. It is easy to get here both by plane and by car.
By airplane:
The nearest airport is Toulouse-Blagnac (TLS). EasyJet offers almost daily direct flights from Geneva. From there you can reach La Bastide in approx. 60 minutes by car. Pick-up service on request.
By car:
La Bastide is easily accessible by car. Free parking is available directly on the premises.
The number of participants is limited to allow for concentrated training and personal interaction.
We are now accepting non-binding reservations. As soon as the minimum number of participants has been reached, we will inform all reserved persons personally. Only then will a binding booking be made – with a deposit of 20 percent. The remaining amount will be invoiced one month before the start of the course.
